The Poppy Suite

Get ready to be swept away to the South of France! Named after Monét’s, "The Poppy Field Near Argenteuil," (1873). The Poppy Suite captures the vibrant, peaceful atmosphere of a blooming countryside. Warm tones, delicate floral accents inspired by Monét’s lush fields, and natural wood accents evoke the natural beauty of an open landscape. Every detail of the Poppy Suite is curated for your comfort, offering a perfect retreat.

This suite used to be the home of the town's eye doctor for over 30 years. Then it housed Miller's philanthropic business of making dolls for hospitals. Nine months of thoughtful renovations prepared this suite for our guests to be sure we kept the original character of the 1888 bank, while adding modern luxuries.

16' ceilings were dropped down to a 'reasonable' 12' and an old office was removed to make room for a larger living room that can seat 18- yes, 18! We have found that many of our local families get overwhelmed hosting friends and family who are in town for a funeral, wedding, or the holidays. Now they can all meet at Monét!

A barrel vault ceiling was built to mimic the arch that was added in the new doorway leading into the kitchen. Custom cabinetry was built on either side of the repurposed cabinet as a coffee bar. And in the bedroom, you'll find hand-hewn barn beams that were hollowed out by hand to lessen the weight before hanging.

Our guests will enjoy fresh pastries delivered the night before to the Scullery, just on the other side of their back door.

You will receive a private entry code before arrival for convenient self-check-in anytime after 3pm (earlier time may be arranged).
